I Work With People, Not Poses
My yoga practice and teaching style doesn’t focus on fitness and or how students look on the mat. It isn’t about getting your foot behind your head or being upside down. It’s about the benefits of the breath as you move through poses that fit your needs. This is what I teach. I teach functional yoga. With me, you’ll learn how to use the poses to get into your body rather than using your body to get into a pose.
I help people who think they “can’t do yoga” because they’re “not flexible enough,” not “athletic enough,” not [anything] “enough.” Anyone who can breathe can find mental and emotional benefits with yoga. Don’t let the images on Instagram and the covers of magazines scare you off.
When you practice with me, you’ll learn the art of relaxing with gentle vinyasa flow, yin yoga, restorative and yoga nidra (the yogic meditation).
Perhaps you’re more into vigorous vinyasa, astanga, power or hatha yoga but you want some extra instruction on pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) so you can get the most out of your practice. Or you want to take your meditation practice to the next level. Perhaps you want to begin a meditation practice but don’t know where to start.
I help with all of those!
